Change of heart by SMRT...

It seems that despite its initial view that the installation of half-height platform screen doors along train platforms as being an expensive and ineffective move, SMRT (or was the decision made by LTA?) has finally decided that it would be a good, if not necessary move, to do so.

Well, I suppose that this change of heart can be considered as good news...

But hopefully, SMRT won't decide to pass on the cost of the installation onto commuters, although I suppose commuters will be willing to pay slightly more for increased safety...

the way i see it, excuses on increasing fare are pretty weak at the moment, with continuing high inflation n dropping oil prices.. Now to hit the what-price-for-safety button...
