The Outsider
There is this guy
A somewhat strange guy
Judging by the standards of his peers
Not many
Understand him & his ways
At times this even included himself
Similarly
He found people around him
To be like enigmas
Followed the trends & interests of his peers
He did not
Instead he marched to his own unique beat
Although almost all are friendly with him
He feels that he haven’t yet find a circle of friends
Which he can really call his own
Although he was involved in many different groups
He seldom felt that he belonged
To any of those groups
He
Feels like an outsider
An observer looking in at things happening
He
Feels like an outsider
Isolated from the people & happenings around him
Although he enjoyed & valued his freedom and independence
He still feels a bit lonely at times
Yearning to be an insider and not an outsider anymore

many of us yearn to belong. in somewhere. with someone. yet the beauty of it all lies in the safe and secure acknowledgement that the uniqueness of your identity will always be left unscathed in the face of what the world offers.
